Family Planning Funding Cuts | February 3, 2012

Family Planning Funding in Texas is being cut. The total amount to cover the next 14 months is $12.4 million, a cut of 79 percent.

Planned Parenthood will receive no funding. University Health System will receive $610,500, which is down from $1.77 million. This federally funded program has saved Texas money by reducing Medicaid costs to care for unplanned pregnancies.
