City's Anti-Discrimination Policy | August 9, 2013



A proposed ordinance that would consolidate and expand the current San Antonio anti-discrimination code is drawing fire. Councilman Diego Bernal wants to include new protected classes based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Some men of the cloth call it “anti-Christian.” And a conservative law firm is threatening to sue if it is adopted, claiming it would infringe on religious rights. But many Christians see tolerance and non-discrimination as fundamental values. Two local ministers with opposing views discuss the issues.
