Police officers in the United States shot and killed at least 500 people so far this year, according to the Washington Post. In many cases, surveillance, dash-cam and amateur videos have proven helpful. Sometimes they showed officers to be justified. A few times they showed otherwise. This week, Channel 12 showed a video of sheriff's deputies shooting a man who appeared to be standing still with his hands up. But there appears to be much more to the case.
