State Aims to Dignify Historic Alamo Plaza

The state government, in the form of the General Land Office, has contracted to pay millions for three buildings that house tourist traps across the street from the Alamo. It promises to be the first step toward an ambitious plan to dignify the environs surrounding the Texas Shrine of Liberty.
